Monday Mentions: February 2023

Hello. Well, the second month of this year is down. Ten more to go! The shortest month of the year provided design inspiration far beyond its days. Take a look at my roundup of stand outs for the month. I hope you love them as much as I did/do.

Orange You Glad To Be Here?

I am a big fan of rooms with orange walls and orange grasscloth is even better. This is the way to make a statement at the entrance of your home!

Shostak and Company

An entry of a different kind with equal appeal. I would be so happy if this was the entry to my old home in Connecticut. I would be so happy if my home was an old home in Connecticut lol. I really love the vibe of this space.

Living Room Love

The coffee table in this room has my heart. It is super cool and handsome.

Leanne Ford

The entire wall between this living room and kitchen is decorated with framed cattle tags! Unique and unexpected artwork is the best. So is this sofa!

Sean Anderson

This is a charming love seat vignette.

Let's Put It All Out On The Table

Love this antique table and the entire styling situation going on here.

Minnie Peters Design

Love, love this grasscloth and bamboo mirrored chest. I want this!

Charlotte Barnes

The curved lines of this chest make for a perfect bedside table.

Brian Paquette

I love, love, love when "regular" furniture, like a substantial chest is included in a kitchen design. The artwork on top of the chest is an added bonus.

Cozy Kitchens

Speaking of furniture in kitchens, these upholstered dining chairs in the kitchen are perfection.

Heidi Caillier Design

The kitchen shown in the next two pictures is a master class in how to make the best use of your space. Tearing something down would always be my last resort, I would far prefer to discover and create charm in existing spaces and this kitchen does just that to perfection. The varying heights and angels look intentional. Lessons to be learned here for sure!

Plural Paints

I am always intrigued by rooms that use multiple paint colors with aplomb.

The combination of this chartreuse-y ceiling and wide, glossy, blue gray door is truly stunning.

Casa Josephine

I also love to see the color from a neighboring room brought into the adjoining space as it is here with the open blue door.

The Wonders of Wallpaper

This block print paisley wallpaper is charming and the trio of artwork over the vintage towel rack is awesome, gorgeous, lovely....name your adjective, it's just down right beautiful.

The pink trim is the perfect complement to this wallpaper...something I talked about in a recent Spot On Tuesday post.

Curtain Call

These next three images show you how awesome curtains are. They really enhance a room dramatically - literally and figuratively.

Bathroom Envy

I am usually drawn mostly to kitchens, this month however, the bathrooms have my attention! The curtained tub area above is gorgeous as are the next several bathrooms.

I love the clean lines of this sink.

Marie Flanigan Interiors

This mirror is gorgeous, elevating this all white space exponentially.

A penny for your thoughts....I am a fan of this floor to ceiling penny tile, that's for sure!

April Tomlin Interiors

Powder rooms are the perfect place to go for a wow moment in your home and this red and white wallpapered one is no doubt a wow-er.

Carrier and Company

The flooring in the next three bathrooms floors me lol. They all make a very attractive statement.

Katie Rosenfeld & Co.

The Misfit House

And the bench in this bathroom makes me think all bathrooms would be better off with a bench than with a big tub! Charming.

W Design Collective

Cute Touch

These circular vents on the laundry room cabinetry and practical and pretty.

Becca Interiors

Step Outside

This view cements my love for breezeways. Each of the three light fixtures is beautiful, the lines on the doors and floors and the transition from light to dark walls....all of it is swoon worthy.
