Monday Mentions: September 2023
Well, here we are....fall has officially started and it is the last Monday in September. I am a huge fan of fall, what about you? When I was sixteen my older brother and I shared a Jeep CJ-7 and I still remember the thrill of driving through the streets of West Hartford, Connecticut with the leaves on the trees changing colors, the top down on the Jeep, and the music blasting. I think that is when my love for fall was cemented.
As is my custom, I am sharing the images that I saved throughout the month because I find the designs beautiful and inspiring. I hope you feel the same way!
If you read this blog regularly, you know that I am huge fan of sightlines and vignettes. Here are some beauties!
This vignette provides a great view down the hall. Love the artwork.
The simplicity of the pieces on and above this sideboard are striking.
This whole situation is beautiful.....
This sightline into the kitchen is fabulous. How can you wrong with bookshelves!?! Answer, you cannot.
I am a fan of the charm of the cabinetry being its own unit and not tied into the stove in this kitchen.
Loving the simplicity of this kitchen. The plates have my heart.
How do you feel about curtains as cabinet fronts? These next two images make a great case for them!
Lately I have really been appreciating rooms that feel spacious. Just enough furniture, layering, and texture so the room does not feel sparse, nor does it feel "overdone". Here are some examples of what has been speaking to me ......
This room is huge - and gorgeous! - it's hard not to be spacious :-).
Loving the symmetry in this bedroom.
Love the calm vibe of this bedroom.
Bedrooms with beams? Yes, please!
The feminine chair and fabric at this secretary desk are unexpected and beautiful.
This swooping porch wall is quite charming as well.
Enjoy your Monday and the last days of September!
Thank you for being here,
