Furniture Fever
Happy Friday! A quick post for you today. In the last Furniture Fever post I was talking about my desire for daybeds in the living room. Since then my fever has risen to include a sofa of a different kind. Something with visual appeal that is somewhat unusual and unique, unexpected as it were. I have the fever for a modified tête à tête. Tête à tête means face to face in French and traditionally one, also called a conversation chair, has two seats shaped as an "S" so that although the two sitting in the "love seat" face different directions, they are able to have an intimate conversation. Here is an image of a traditional type of tête à tête:
My fever rages for a modern take on the conversation chair like this one:

And the fever extends to a sofa with high sides and a low back:

Or a sofa with a split back:

These sofas with a twist are a great way to add depth and character to a room with its main piece of furniture in place of (or in addition to) the oft used smaller pieces like tables and stools for character. A conversation piece for conversation :-)!
Happy weekend. I will be back with the last post of February on Manic Monday. Can you believe it?
Thank you for being here today, Kerry
