Food For Thought
This Food For Thought post is a little bit different than those that have come before it. Usually I serve up a choice between two entrées (aka ideas) for you to consider. Today, I am talking about one specific choice that can be implemented in different ways. The choice is to add a bench for seating in your dining space in place of chairs or stools.
I am a huge fan of a bench at the table in both the kitchen and dining room. A bench immediately adds an extra layer to the space. A bench can be upholstered with a fun (and practical) fabric or it can be made of a natural material - perhaps painted. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, a bench allows for a mix in seating which always add instant character to a dining area.
If you were planning to incorporate a bench in your space, the choices to nibble on today are: Would you want a backless bench or support behind you? Would you want a wood bench or an upholstered bench? Would you want a modern aesthetic or a more vintage vibe?
Take a look at today's menu!
First course, upholstered benches with backs....
Second course, painted benches with a vintage vibe. These two are my favorites <3 I'm a vintage girl at heart, no doubt about it.

And for dessert, how do you feel about a bench at the kitchen island, backless or otherwise?
