Feature Fever

Hello! If you are a regular reader you know that I have a love of furniture and decor items that are made from natural materials like wicker, bamboo, and rattan so it will come as no surprise to you that I have the fever for a particular kind of window blind made from bamboo. The blinds are handmade in India. I have been admiring this type of shade ever since I first saw it in a home design book in 2017 and lately I have noticed it in a growing number of designer posts on Instagram. This has only further ignited my fever.

Although my "fever" has been ongoing for five years, I have a cure for this fever! I just purchased these blinds for the entire first floor of my house. I am not entirely certain if John likes them, he could not deny my enthusiasm for them though and was definitely won over by my certainty that they will be amazing in our house!

It will take a while for the "medicine" to cure me because the blinds will not be installed until after the renovation - hopefully by the end of 2023. Nonetheless, just knowing that the antidote is out there makes me giddy with excitement.

Here are some images of the blinds that I have saved. I hope (and am sure) you will like them as much as me.

The next two images are from the same house and also the first rooms I caught sight of (and a fever for) these awesome blinds.

The blinds look as amazing in a room with dark walls as they do in a room with light walls.

This set of blinds is backed with fabric - an extra does of awesomeness!

These have a swath of fabric over top to obtain complete obscurity when necessary. We are fortunate to live on a lot where we do not need total obscurity on our windows, although I really like the look of this and it's an option to consider in the future.

The blinds are just gorgeous! They work in any and every room in the house. Love, love, love.

I will give an update when the blinds are delivered!

I will be back tomorrow with a Comfort Food Friday post. See you then.

Thank you for sharing my excitement with me today,

Kerry
