it's been awhile

Hello!

I started a Substack account to, at least as a start, go hand and hand with this blog.

Here is what it said:

I started an interior design blog about four years ago that I haven't posted to in over a year. It chronicled the design of my previous homes, the plans I had for my sixth home, designs and design elements that I find beautiful, and the occasional random thoughts. I will soon be starting to share before and after posts of the recently completed renovation of my sixth home and I feel a bit rusty.

A friend suggested that I try Substack. I have recently started to follow a few people here and I really like the format, culture and community. I participated in a Creative Workshop (where I met the friend that suggested I try this platform and many other wonderful, creative, supportive people) a few years ago and a big part of the workshop was to share something everyday and support the other creatives in what they were sharing. Substack reminds me of that - an atmosphere of “we are here because we want to be here”.

To get me back in the swing of things I will post both here and on my blog to start and see where it goes from there. I certainly have more random thoughts right now than finished design blogs.

I hope to be inspiring to you in some way as I know I will be inspired by you!
