Spot On Tuesday

Hello. We are back in the swing of things around here. My children started their first full week of school yesterday after going back for a few days last week. Say it isn't so! Starting school in mid-August seems cruel until you get out in May!

Today I have my spot light on tile - specifically vertically stacked tile. It is a more modern (dare I say, fresh?) way to set tile than the traditional brick lay and also more "fresh" than horizontal stacked tile, I think. This style of laying tile can be used in bathrooms, on backsplashes, and even breakfast nook walls, as you will see in the examples below.

This kitchen has a reeded front vent hood (last week's Spot On Tuesday post was all about the use of reeded fronts) and the vertical tile vibe discussed in today's post.

The two-color vertically stacked tile on this breakfast room wall looks almost like wallpaper. It has more depth and character for sure though.

I really like the look of vertically stacked tile, especially with dark tile and a mix of two colors as seen in this post. What about you? Would you be bold enough to be more modern and fresh lol?

Please let me know!

Happy Tuesday,

Kerry
