Spot On Tuesday
Hello to you! Today I have my spot light fixed on vintage suzanis being used as part of bed linen ensembles. A suzani is a large embroidered textile panel. It gets its name from the Persian word "suzan" which means needle. The patterns generally revolve around a circular flower and are quite vibrant. There are new fabrics that incorporate a suzani-like pattern, vintage suzanis are where its at though! They are highly collectible and desirable (aka can be costly). The vintage textiles quickly become the focal point where ever they are incorporated. They are bold and colorful and very attractive in a bedroom.
Take a look and see what you think.....
Aren't they stunning? A suzani looks great on the back of a sofa or chair too, really anywhere you put it, it will be a showstopper.
Do you like them too? Please let me know in the comments.
Thank you for stopping in today,
Kerry
