On Trend Tuesday
Hello. Today I am going to talk about something that is old fashioned and although it has never really gone away, it seems to be having a resurgence in popularity. "What is this mystery item", you ask? "Cafe Curtains", I reply. They get their name because they were first used to cover the bottom half of the front windows of cafes to offer some intrigue to, and separation from, the outside crowd. Cafe curtains are sweet. They add a touch of whimsy and if needed, just the right amount of privacy to a space. They can be used in any room and made with any fabric from sheer to dense. No matter the place or pattern, cafe curtains are something to consider. Like all items I feature in this series, cafe curtains can be customized to fit your taste and space and that is the key to being "on trend" instead of being a copy-cat.
Following are a sample of the lovely cafe curtain in action.

And into the bathroom.....
Cafe curtains are a very practical choice in bathrooms because they let the light in from above and block the outside eyes from below, especially when used on the second floor.
These first two are from Light and Dwell. I love the gingham check in the second one!

Do you have cafe curtains? Do you have a place to put them, if not? They are on my list for my powder room once we actually have the window in! I will be back tomorrow with a Food For Thought post. See you then. Happy Tuesday.
Thank you for reading today,
