On Trend Tuesday
Hello! Something I have noticed lately is the reemergence of bedspreads. I can remember when I was young having to make my bed by making sure my bedspread was evenly laid on my mattress so that the three visible sides of the spread were all touching the floor at the same length (am I the only one so particular!?!) , then pulling the bedspread all the way up to the top, folding it back to put the pillows at the head of the bed, and then pulling the folded portion of the spread up over the pillows so there was a neat, even crease across the bed defining the pillows. By the 1980s it seemed like bedspreads were a thing of the past and coverlets, duvets, pillow shams, and textured blankets took over the bed decor world.
All of a sudden, bedspreads, or at the very least bed covers that drape on the floor are back! In a big way. Some look modern, some look quite old fashioned, some are patterned, some are solid. They all give a relaxed elegant feel. The following are a few examples of what I am referring to.

What do you think!?! Are you a bedspread fan??? I love the draped look at the end of the bed, I do not know if I can ever go back to tucking a spread under pillows though lol. I am making an evolved compromise in the spread department!
Thank you for joining me today. I will be back tomorrow with a Starry Night post. See you then.
