On Trend Tuesday
Hello. Today I am going to talk about something that seems to be everywhere lately and thus leads me to believe that it is a trend of sorts. When I was growing up I thought canopy beds were the ultimate type of bed to have. I never had one. I had plenty of friends that did though and I sat in their bedrooms with a bit (a lot?) of envy. Right now it seems like the ultimate type of bed to have is what I will call a "nook bed" the next generation canopy bed. And it is not only for children, neither are canopy beds for that matter. Maybe I should look into that, maybe I am about to catch a "Furniture Fever" lol.
Moving on...following are some of the nook beds I have noticed lately.
They are popping up in girls bedrooms.

They can appear more neutral.

They are in boy's bedrooms.

Admittedly this one is canopy bed with fabric completely draped around it to make a "nook bed". The next best thing.

They can come in pairs.
Or threes.

They crossover ages, from young child to older child.
If not for the basket of toys on the floor, I would never have known this a child's bedroom. This room will certainly grow with the lucky inhabitant.

They can be sophisticated, aka for grownups.

No wonder "nook beds" seem to be On Trend. They are cozy and customizable. They are charming. They can be dressed up or down. They make perfect sense for a smaller bedroom, particularly when the bed needs to be next to the window, theoretically though a bed nook could be made for any size bed. Beware, the larger the bed size, the harder it will to be make. Is this a trend you would like to follow? Please let me know!
I will be back tomorrow with a Thank You Note post.
Until then, thank you for being here today,
Kerry
